They are held pretty frequently, at the end of an alleyway of bars (filled with ladyboys) there is an ring. I remember a friendly English or Austrailan gentleman ran a bar there. That thai whiskey is pretty deadly. I remember asking for some on the rocks, the bartender looked all puzzled and asked if I was sure I didn't want coke. 1 throat burning sip later I was back at the bar asking for coke!
